Healthy Week 2026
This year's healthy week schedule!
Monday 15 June
Andrew Cartwright will be working with Reception, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4 for a fun filled rounders session!
Year 2 and Year 3 will take part in a cookery workshop run by Chartwells. They will make their own healthy bar snack! Please note that all dietary and allergy requirements have been shared with Chartwells, and all their ingredients are gluten and dairy free.
Tuesday 16 June
Beverley Park Tennis Club will be teaching Year 1, Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4 how to play Street Racket!

Wednesday 17 June
Nursery, Reception, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4 will be taking part in a whole school sponsored fun run to raise money for Children’s Cancer North. Please see the following page for more information. It’s Sport’s Day for Reception, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4! Parents and carers are invited to come and cheer us on – it will begin at 2pm.
Thursday 18 June
It’s Nursery’s turn for Sports Day! Please see the Nursery newsletter for more details. Year 4 will be visiting Valley Gardens Middle School for a PE focussed transition visit.
In addition to these planned events, children will have the opportunity to take part in extra sporty events throughout the week such as Go Noodle workouts and mindfulness activities. We will also be focusing on other ways we can keep our bodies fit and healthy – we will be focusing on PSHE objectives which consider the importance of keeping healthy.

What a busy, fun packed week we have had!
From running to skipping to street racket, we have been exercising - learning new sports and practising old. In food technology lessons we have be learning about eating healthy and we have prepared healthy food options. In PSHCE, we have been thinking about all the ways we can lead a healthy lifestyle.
